Joseph Knecht a Judge in NYC American Heart Association's Open Innovation Challenge

VentureTech's managing director Joseph Knecht was asked to join an expert panel of judges in The New York City American Heart Association's Open Innovation Challenge.

The challenge is held to create and grow innovative, early stage health care products and companies with a focus on cardiovascular disease prevention and cardiovascular health promotion. More specific information on the challenge can be found here.

Other expert judges include, but are not limited to: 

Milena Adamian, MD. The Founder and Executive Director of Life Science Angel Network (LSAN). 

David Albert, MD. Physician/Entrepreneur who's had numerous successful exits like Corazonix in 1985, Data Critical in 1995, and InnovAlarm in 2004. He currently holds 30 issued US patents and has 20 patents pending. 

Cheryl Pegus, M.D., M.P.H. The Director of the Division of General Internal Medicine and Clinical Innovation. Associate Chair of Clinical Innovation at NYU Langone Medical Center and Clinical Professor of Medicine and Population health at NYU School of Medicine. She is the President of Caluent, LLC, a private equity advisory company, and President of the American Heart Association (AHA) Founder’s Affiliate.
